"A perfect blend of Nature and Adventure"
We welcome you to a generous and warm province, Known for
its spectacular beaches, blue oceans fabulous for sport
fishing, snorkeling and Diving. In the province of
Guanacaste you can also experience the rain forest, active
volcanoes with hot springs, important protected areas,
outstanding waterfalls, magnificent sunsets and an unique
culture and traditions.
Guanacaste’s climate and culture are unique among Costa Rica
provinces.
It has two well defined seasons:
Dry Season (December to May) there is
virtually no rainfall, and many trees lose their foliage,
creating a landscape of golden-brown hues. Temperature
during this season are estimated about 33 C ( 91F) with
little humidity.
Rainy Season, also known as the Green Season
goes from (May to November). With an average temperature of
31ºC (88ºF), the Green Season typically features sunny
mornings followed by rain showers in the late afternoon.
However, during mid-July, a break in the Green Season,
called "El Veranillo," occurs, and the region experiences a
few weeks of dry conditions.
The culture owes much to the Spanish and Chorotega legacy.
The campesino life revolves around the horse and cattle
ranch. Here Sabaneros known as cowboys are really common to
observe throughout the province.
The Province of Guanacaste is a perfect destination offering
a wide variety of attractions to suit all taste and ages.
We invite you to take a step and experience with us a
treasure-trove of wonders that you will return to again and
again.
